NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) itself is a joint initiative of IIT and IISc that offers 500+ courses taught by the professors of these esteemed institutions. The NPTEL GATE project can be a brilliant aid for GATE Aspirants in their preparation for the graduate exam. The site offers free and on-demand video lectures that can be used for something as simple as concept-building to complete syllabus understanding and exam preparation depending on the needs of the aspirant.

- Video Solutions: The site contains the solution and real-time solving videos of the previous year’s GATE question papers.
- Syllabus Mapping: Videos organized specifically with the syllabus of a selected discipline are available on the portal.
- Live Mentoring Sessions: Doubt-clearing sessions are held on the platform in phases of 12 weeks with each week focusing on a specific topic. The latest phase, Phase III of these sessions starts from August 25th. Recordings of previous sessions are available on the portal.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, most commonly referred to as GATE, is a three-hour test jointly conducted yearly by the IISc and leading IITs on behalf of the Ministry of Education(MoE) that tests a candidate’s knowledge in Engineering and sciences.
